3D Simulation & Scanning

Digital tools are now essential in expert investigations—both for understanding technical events and for clearly communicating our analyses.

Naudet has equipped itself with the most advanced technologies in this field, from image acquisition using 3D scanners to data processing and modelling with Dassault Systèmes’ SolidWorks (including a structural analysis module), as well as 3D printing and augmented reality.

  • 3D scanning allows for the acquisition of a tridimensional image of a damaged site, enabling rapid clearance while preserving the ability to virtually navigate the site, take measurements, and zoom in on details. When used in coordination with a judicial officer, it helps “freeze” the scene to preserve evidence.
  • 3D modelling provides a digital model that serves as a basis for analysis, visualisation, or demonstration—combining the clarity of a schematic with detailed precision.
  • 3D printing, from a 3D model, enables the rapid and cost-effective production of physical mock-ups. These can support complex claims by illustrating a theory or explanation.
  • Augmented reality allows for the superimposition of a digital model onto a real scene, making it possible to virtually reconstruct a damaged environment.

This full suite of digital tools ensures clarity, precision, and efficiency in handling complex claims.
